Some links on The Clear Head are affiliate links. That means if you click one and buy something, we might earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
Here’s what that looks like in practice: if we link to a bottle of AF gin on Amazon and you buy it, Amazon pays us a small percentage. The price you pay is exactly the same either way.
Does this affect what we write?
No. And we’d say that even if it did, but it genuinely doesn’t.
We only link to products we’ve actually reviewed. We don’t write positive reviews to earn commission — if something isn’t good, we say so, affiliate link or not. A bad review with an affiliate link is still a bad review.
We’ve turned down free products from brands who wanted guaranteed positive coverage. We’ll keep doing that.
Which affiliate programmes do we use?
- Amazon Associates — for drinks, books, and equipment available on Amazon UK
- Direct brand affiliate programmes — some AF drinks brands run their own schemes; where we use these we’ll note it in the relevant review
How to spot an affiliate link
We don’t go out of our way to hide them. Amazon links have the usual long URL format. Where we use a direct brand link we’ll say so near the link itself.
If you’d rather not use our affiliate links, just Google the product name directly. No hard feelings.
