Aldi’s own-label spirits have a habit of embarrassing brands three times the price, and Greyson’s 0% London Dry follows the script. It leads with real juniper — still the rarest thing in alcohol-free gin — backed by lemon and lime, and it took a Silver at the International Spirits Challenge, which is not a medal they hand out for trying.
Mixed with a decent tonic and a wedge of lime it does about 80% of what a £25 AF gin does for a third of the money. The finish is shorter and a touch sweeter than a Tanqueray 0.0, but at £8.99 that is an easy trade. If you are AF-gin-curious, start here.
