If your summer drink is an Aperol Spritz, this is the bottle Lyre’s built for you. Italian Spritz gets the neon sunset colour right and, more importantly, the bitterness — blood orange and rhubarb up front, a herbal, quinine-edged finish that stops it tasting like squash.
Build it the way you would the real thing: 50ml over lots of ice, top with alcohol-free sparkling wine or soda, orange slice in the glass. The bottle is not cheap at £23.49+, but a 70cl bottle makes a dozen spritzes, which beats round-after-round of £6 AF cocktails at the pub.

How to Serve
Build it long over ice: 50ml Italian Spritz, top with alcohol-free sparkling wine or soda water, a wedge of orange, and — if you want the classic Aperol-spritz look — a green olive on the side. It stands up fine to prosecco alternatives too, so it slots straight into a normal spritz round without anyone needing to make an exception for it.
Storage: unopened it keeps like any spirit-alternative — no fridge needed, out of direct light. Once open, it holds its flavour for a few weeks at room temperature, though the citrus top notes are brightest in the first week or two.
Where to buy: Lyre’s Italian Spritz isn’t yet a mainstream supermarket stock item in the UK — it’s available direct from Lyre’s own site, via Amazon (around £26.99 for the 700ml bottle, RRP £29.99), and specialist retailers like DryDrinker. That’s a step up from the £23.49 starting price quoted above, so shop around before committing to one seller.
If Aperol-style bitterness isn’t quite your thing, our Remedy Kombucha range review covers a lighter, less bitter alternative for the same warm-weather slot.
