Collider is not just stripping the alcohol out and calling it a day — it infuses its 0.5% lager base with “Unwind Blend”, a mix of L-theanine, Lion’s Mane and ashwagandha, and pitches it as a mood-boosting, calming drink rather than a straight beer substitute.

The can itself is brewed from malted barley, wheat, hops and yeast at Collider Brew Co’s site in the UK, then processed to remove the gluten. It is vegan, 330ml, and comes in at roughly 36 calories a can — well under half of a standard alcoholic lager.

Collider’s own claims for Unwind Blend — raising GABA uptake, moderating serotonin, lowering cortisol — are the brand’s positioning, not an independently verified medical effect, and the can carries no clinical claim beyond the ingredient list. Worth trying for the taste and the ritual; treat the “relaxing” effect as anecdotal until you’ve tried it yourself.

Price-wise it’s the same as the rest of the Collider range: around £2.65–£3 for a single 330ml can, dropping to roughly £30–£32 for a 12-pack direct from drinkcollider.com. It’s also carried by Dry Drinker, Nought Drinks and The Alcohol Free Co, but not yet the mainstream supermarkets, so those specialist sites are the most reliable places to buy it.

Serve it cold, straight from the fridge, in a glass rather than the can if you want to judge the head and colour properly — at 36 calories it pours noticeably lighter than most alcohol-free lagers. Keep cans refrigerated and drink by the date on the can; there’s no live fermentation here so it’s a straightforward store-and-chill product, not one that needs the same care as something like kombucha.

Want more flavour and don’t mind the extra calories? Collider Peach Lager is the same base cut with real peach juice, at 96 calories a can instead of 36.
